Only boats that are on the approved club "Boats Allowed to Sail List" are permitted to sail at Carsington Sailing Club, this list can be viewed on the link below or by visiting the club reception area where a hard copy is displayed.
The owner of any boat which is not on the list, but is seeking permission to sail at Carsington Sailing Club must first submit an application (see attachment) to enable a risk assessment to be undertaken, prior to acceptance of the boat / membership of Carsington Sailing Club.
The task of risk assessing / approving new boats is the responsibility of the “Measurement Committee

The “Measurement Committee” will evaluate the boat parameters / specification to produce a “Risk Rating” for each boat. Any boat that has a rating greater than 980 will be disallowed from sa
iling at Carsington Sailing Club, there are no exceptions.
The “Measurement Committee” is responsible to CSC Management Committee and all “Risk Ratings” are ratified / authorised by Management Committee.
The process to determine individual boat “Risk Rating” is initiated by requester completing an Application Form for a Boat RA Number and forward to Ray Gall (Chairman of Measurement Committee) or obtain a hard copy of this form through the office and forward to Mick / Lyn Athey who in turn will contact Ray.
Remember any boat not on the 'Boats Allowed to Sail List' must be approved before it is allowed on the water at Carsington Sailing Club.
If you are considering puchasing a boat to sail at the club that is not on the current approved list, please contact the club and ask for further information.
