"Carsington has got Talent 2010"

 

On the Saturday evening of the “Commodores Cup” event the Club enjoyed a wonderful “Talent Show” and Supper.

This was the first time in the clubs history that such an event had been run and resulted in a very enjoyable evening for all forty-eight members who attended.

The evening started with musical turns from Nick Achurch, John Stoker and Eddie Hill.

Paul Gerard entertained us with a medley of Sea Shanties and John Meggitt led the assembly in singing “The Derby Ram”.

Mike Horsburgh and Mike Stoker told a story about Jack and the Beanstalk, aided by a box of props and were voted the funniest act.

Mike S said “it was probably the daftest thing he has done in the club yet”!
Others might disagree!

The evening was completed by younger members of the club with their Rock Band.

Prizes were awarded to the Winners and Runners-Up with judging by the audience, measured on a high tech Clapometer .

A huge thanks to those members who entertained us on the night, the Galley for the excellent meal and all those members who attended making the evening a great success.

 

Our club has many talented members and it was good to see these being used for everyone's enjoyment.

What about putting on a panto this Christmas!
